1966 PANASONIC SG-515 AM/FM w TURNTABLE see Video SOLD $215

No idea what possessed me to pick this up from collector I got the JVC DC-7 from ( totally into old things with record players).   Guess what amazed me was that everything works and WELL !!  Although it was covered in decades of dust/dirt I could tell it would clean up nicely so bought it right.   Although it is not stereo and only has one speaker my GOD it plays loud and not that distorted until turned way up.   Not high fidelity for sure no bass and not much highs but mids are not bad especially for this era.  Radio and record player work GREAT.   It is in really good cosmetic condition for being nearly nearly 50 years old.  Has button for lighting the tuning dial it works.

CAN ANYONE tell me more about this model especially the year made ???  Found a original print ad on eBay for model SG-610  from 1968.  Since the model number is higher and unit is almost identical except top FM face dial and slider controls replaced with knobs my guess is this is from 65-67?  See print ad with photos.

Here is a video where you can hear how loud it gets when he switches from phone to radio ( not my unit).

Contact me by PM if interested in buying this as am going to sell it.  Will post in for sale section soon.  Too old skool for me and not a big time boomer collector ( my closets and showcases are busting out from Walkman .   Only issue is smallest part of antenna pulls out of extending antenna.  It is there and easy to get antenna out.  Its shiny and not bent anywhere.  Cover for AC cord area missing , battery cover intact.

I have not seen that one before.   Is the cartridge mag or ceramic on it?

It is a ceramic phono cartridge.  Just pulls down off of shell easy replacement.  Definitely not a moving coil cartridge

Here is video just made.  This old boomer really works excellently.  It runs fine off of 6 D batteries or built in AC cord.   Check it out.   I will be posting this on Ebay for sale section S2G later tonight with link to eBay auction.  Starting bid $54 with three 33 1/3 records included !
