Stopped watching tv back in April 2012 when 'they' went all digital as i refused to add another contraption to the tv to watch it and then 'they' wanted more  $ to  see more commercials - nah...

very nice ira

johnedward - 2012-12-02 20:32

Traveler you certainly have a grand variety of Sanyo's and they are awesome mini boxes IMO.   Have heard some of Ira's and Sanyo was ahead of the rest in the mini game playing field for most part especially appearance.  I only have the Sanyo M-GT7 in Red which Ira already has shown.

Ira you have all the colors of the M-GT7 ...amazing accomplishment.  Although svc. manual shows 4 colors I swear I saw a Orange one on eBay few years back.  How did I miss listening to one of yours while I was there ...

The mile long 6 speaker Sanyo is a powerful little maxi mini muscle bbx!  And it has some Volume !   Definitely a head turner where ever you carry it.  And 3 of them... your a Sanyo Horder am jealous!

I have the M1660 (3rd from right) mono box (i think)! Two of them! One doesn't respond to batteries at all, although I have yet to try ac power, as it doesn't accept a normal power plug, and instead requires a 9v (again, i think) power supply, which I dont have.

mr.vu - 2012-12-11 00:47

Thanks for letting me see the collection of your wonderful mini boombox

Center post is positive, outer is negative - input 9 volts DC or 6 AA batteries - like in this picture cassette play

Hi teamstress!
This is a cool boombox! I had one such a couple of years ago, then sold, now I want it back! You are  happy to posess this one!

Oooh the 7950  I have one Sanyo mini:

000_0020

teamstress - 2014-07-25 16:41

Thanks. I bought it at a flea market for a dollar, it was very dirty, I didn't know it was white until I started cleaning it.

ilja - 2014-07-25 23:49

Absolutely amazing! Is it fully functioning?

ellh - 2015-04-25 04:33

does anyone know what sort of mains lead the Sanyo M7780L takes?

Im looking at getting one but it doesnt come with mains lead.

I am hoping its just the standard figure 8 connection but all the pics i have seen show it as a 7.5V round plug socket.

Anyone know??

ao - 2015-04-25 04:35

This unit doesn't have an internal transformer so you'll need to get a 7.5V adapter.

Damn, thats what i was dreading.

Do you know if universal style adapters will work.. is it just a case of getting the right voltage ? Or am I gonna be looking at an impossible task of sourcing an original.

ao - 2015-04-25 04:59

Any universal adapter will do.  Most come with different sized plugs so you should be OK.

ao - 2015-04-25 05:08

You need a Sanyo CU 679M

Where are you in the world as I have a UK one here in my hand which you can have for shipping only.

ellh - 2015-04-25 08:18

I'm in Hull in the UK.

Dude if you have one ill Deffo have it.

hisrudeness - 2015-04-25 09:06

The chances are that almost all mini radio cassettes will use these. No biggie, you can pick them up from Maplins or Curry's. Handy to have anyway

Oh, great, then you can have this one.

It's missing the plastic dummy earth pin but it still sits in UK plugs tightly.  It has a rattle, not sure what it is.  Also, I'm not positive it works as I no longer have the Sanyo box.

PM me your address and I'll reply with my paypal address.  It will cost €9.90 to send it so whatever that is in £'s.
