Got a KABOOM

viennasound - 2009-02-22 07:30

Yesterday i found in the net an interesting tube-blaster. Usual i only collect oldscool boxes, but 1 bassmonster is allowed, or? Wink
So i drove (in a big snowstorm) to the neighbourdistrict and checked it.
The seller was a young guy, he used it a few time indoor and bought now a homestereo-system.
So the JVC has to go.
After checking all functions and pricedumping i took it. Smile

After a big clean up at home:

It´s a RV-B99, so it does´nt eat MP3. Frown

I never thought how heavy and big this tube is. Red Face

So i must look for some bumping music to test the full bass. Anybody knows good songs? Roll Eyes

I love the remote control. And i think at this machine the CD will be more used as the tape. Smile

Together we are strong. 2 big bassboosters. The JVC is easier to carry, the AUDIOTON looks nicer... Wink

But maybe becomes the Kaboom collectible one day. Smile

Very nice find Roman. I prefer the Master Blaster too though.

Rock On.

congrats & welcome to the Kaboom club Smile reckon you got an OK deal there, so long as it's fully working. I see you have the strap 7 the remote OK.

RRP on these was around 200-250 Euros, I think. Paying €150 wouldn't be unheard of though...

I'd recommened exercising the deck every few months, or it might go wrong premerturely.

I have the same box (purchased new). The big plus on this model is the lack of the rubbery coating used on some models (which turns to a sticky goo over time).

Great find (especially if the cassette still works). My cassette deck died a while ago, with very minimal use. Otherwise it's been a great box!
