Another Lasonic for me. I know... I know...

SO I'm sure you guys are thinking "Alf, get over it man! Try getting some thing else for a change!" I must admit I haven't scooped up a higher end brand in some time. I just have a thing for the big flashy boxes... so shoot me! Laugh Out Loud

Anyway, people usually post once they have the box but I'm posting before! What the heck. I'm not on here enough as it is so I may as well! So I'm probably going to scoop up the 1990 re-issue 931. I figured, why not? It's local and wow is it cheap. So my question is.... Just how disappointed will I be when I fire it up? It has fake tweets right? It really does look super cheap. If you got one chime on in!!

She will look pretty next to her sisters though.

I'll keep you posted! Big Grin

im pretty sure these have real tweeters ,some folks think these have better highs than the original trc 931 and bass thats not as good as the original trc 931 ,i think if you got it cheap you will be happy ,its still a lasonic and most lasonic thump pretty good.

The re-issue does have real tweeters, they are 15 watt max. The "woofers" are 15-35 Watts max.

The original 931 has a nice balanced and expensive feel to it, like the graphic equalizers, they move very smooth but give a little resistance and gives for a nice expensive feel, where the reissue has a less smooth feel to it. The Original has dual antenea and some originals only have 1. All re-issues only have one unless modded and that can be done.

You won't be disappointed in the re-issue, after all, A lasonic is still a lasonic Cool
Now if you could fit a strap to it like Kazaam, then you will be ready to walk the streets in style.

The original has very nice highs, and VERY low lows! The bass does kick as well. My 975 will blast so hard sometimes that the cd player on the nightstand skips and it has 60 second ASP! I will have to post a vid of the 975 and 931 for the sheer bass factor.

The re-issue has nice highs, but a cold feeling in the bass department, like a beautiful woman with nothing inside her eyes. The bass is shy and sometimes to get it to come out you have to mod it.
