So what radio's use more than 10 D cell Batteries? Man thats allot!

10 batteries is about maximum.
But there might be an odd one that
uses more than 10.

The only box I know of is the Sony FH-7 with optional EBP-78 takes 12 D cells.

The optional EBP-78(dc only) component replaces
the lower AC-78(ac only) component.

The JC2000 (and probably a few others) take 10D cells + a AA for the clock.

I know it's technically not more D size cells, but it could be where the 'over ten batteries' legend comes from.

And as Prime says: 12 for the FH-7!
