The M70 and M90 are Worlds apart, the M90 sounds much better.

have you considered a jvc m50?
a 50 is a bit smaller than a 70 which is a bit smaller than a 90 & an they all look the same speakerwise kinda

i have'nt hurd an M70,but i did repair a M90 for someone and the sound was just awsome..one of the best one piece you'll ever hear..top quality !! i even liked the vu needles, very effective and accurate..

I owned a M 70 for a short period.
I have to say that the sound of a M70 is crap in comparison to the M 90.
If you can get your hands on a M 90 , do it.
You won't regret it Laugh Out Loud

I had an M70 as well and was not overly impressed with its sound. I'm sure the 90 is much better.

The M70 is an awesome machine! It needs the Biphonic sound feature, and rotary knob for the volume control, not sliders, but otherwise...its great!
