A true sad story

samsnite - 2010-02-01 07:43

Just got inspired to write this when I read the "SMASHED" discussion.

The year was 1988 or 1989. My sisters boyfriend gave me a boombox, a huge silver Sharp. They were moving and stuff i think... remember listening to L.L Cool J "Bigger and Deffer" and Public Enemy "Fear of a black planet" to name a few on it. So the years past and the Sharp grew obsolete so I lent it to a friend of mine. Additional years past and I grew away from my friend and one day I stumbled upon him in his garage, and what do I see? A Sharp in thousand pieces! WTF? Why? Maybe curiousness, maybe stupidity? Deep down I have not forgiven him for doing that.
It was the last time I saw my beloved GF-9191 .

Ok so it was not smashed but disassembled in a cruel way, probably to get the speakers out...

i learned something new.. i would never ever lend a boombox to anyone who will have no care for it
