Laugh Out Loud Laugh Out Loud very funny VS Wink

im.out.of.hear - 2010-05-25 06:20

its a big old hound..my dog got attcked the other day by a pitbull,i had mine on the lead, the pitbull lock jawed on it,i wanted to kill the b*stard,i tried to get it off my dog and got bit right through my hand, one of my fingers has lost some of the feeling, the dog took a few days but its more or less back to normal now, just a few puncure wounds..
All pitbulls should be banned, people say its the owners but i'm not too sure,i think its in the breeding..there killer/fighting dogs

andyboombox - 2010-05-25 06:34

sorry to hear the news g man.its true-youd do owt for your own dog-should have tried whacking the pitpul HARD on the nose-it would have broke its grip then-failing that kick its balls even harder Nod Yesstraight up-our lass's jack russels a pain in the neck-but id defend her if she got into trouble anyday
glad you both are going to be okay Wink

lav.loo - 2010-05-25 10:03

sorry to hear that G,MAN, my dog has been attacked a few times when ive had him on lead.
he,s got sick of it over the years, bull terriers and all breeds attacking him.
he is a very powerful dog and is yet to come unstuck against any dog and i mean any dog Nod Yes he,s cross rottweiller/german shepherd and has a nasty nasty temper towards dogs because of the attacks in recent years.
he learned to look after himself after an attack when he was 6 moths old of a local pit bull, he got revenge on that dog 12 months or so later but i won,t go too far into that it,s a long story Nod Yes anyway after all the past attacks and incidents where ive been bitten Laugh Out Loud if a dog attacks him while ive got him on lead i just let him off and he does he,s business, IN STYLE Nod Yes but i must add, i don,t ever intentionally let him fight it,s not right in anyway and i condone animal cruelty Nod Yes my dogs going on 8yrs old now and he needs to chill a bit now Wink

yeah gettoman - i'm in west sussex south coast - littlehampton

nickdoofah - 2010-06-03 16:36

hi ade!

how long ago were you staying in littlehampton?

mill lane is very different now......back in the early 80's it was a nice oval green with 2 or 3 houses around it! now it's one of the worst housing estates in town lol - real chav alley - a lot has changed of course not all bad either - i'm very near lyminster rail crossings they are still there & the wick estate has improved a lot since the 1980's - will post pics up soon - am curious how long ago you last came here?

adespin - 2010-06-04 03:48

Hi Nick,
I last paid a visit in 1978, i suppose as in all towns many things have changed, one way systems, pedestrianised streets, but my memories are of a very quiet tranquil town populated with pleasant people. The peace was only interupted in the summer when the mods and rockers came down from London, but that was ok as i was starting to get into bikes. these were the days when the only portable radio you listened to were tiny six transtors sets made by the likes of Pye and KB, and the only station you listened to was radio Luxembourg.

Are you near Griffin Crescent. I stayed in number 5 Mill Lane.

nickdoofah - 2010-06-04 04:33

griffin is round the corner from here! i first came here in 1982 with a couple of bags of clothes & a big silver triumph boombox (from currys) thats all i had to my name lol! been visiting both here & bognor since 1978 though as i went to a local boarding school & here was where we used to venture to at weekends!

speaking of pye & KB, my grandfather had an "RGD" mono radio recorder, i remember going along with him to buy it in 1976! was a more exciting day for me than him lol one unit with both a radio & cassette recorder in one was a big deal for me then! anyway it was definitely an ITT clone the styling & build gave that away instantly - the make on the front was RGD-KB & i have never seen one again since (his neighbour had the cassette only version around the same time) my memories of that time still centre around that mono boombox & elo records of the time Big Grin it was unusual layout - tuning dial mounted vertically down the right side of the unit speaker roughly central & of course tape door on the left side all finished in wood effect silver & black - maybe someone here will know which box i'm talking about!

adespin - 2010-06-04 05:40

I've now taken a trip around Littlehampton and mill lane via Google maps, and boy has it changed Eek can't tell if its for better or worst. I see the the Butlins funfair has gone along with the best shop in town, Gamleys toy shop.

Time to throw away the rose tinted glasses Nod Yes

lav.loo - 2010-06-04 08:52

Wheres your dog pics ade??

nickdoofah - 2010-06-04 09:00

yeah gamleys has gone also currys where i bought many a boombox has moved out to so called "retail park" lol
do you remember the wooden rollercoaster that sat on top of the indoor funfair's roof? called the wildmouse it was a dodgy experience no seatbelts or anything like that - was a long time ago now though i remember last seeing the amusements all intact still about 1985

lav.loo - 2010-06-04 12:07

nick/ade, why don,t u go to the chatroom with your conversation, it,s quicker, and it does,nt take other peoples threads off topic Big Grin
or maybe you could start your own topic and name it Littlehampton yesteryear, maybe Wink

billy.the.binman - 2010-06-04 17:27
