morning gang
just been to the tip to take an old games console in,and what did i see, sat at the top of the electrics pile, within easy reach?only a sharp vz2000!!!!!!!!!!looked mint under the dust.did i get it?

and this is my point-how do you get the tips to work with you-i mean, i asked the guy if he would be interested in letting me take it for a fee,but he simply told me no chance.and because i was dawdling, trying to take a picture of it for posterity,and trying to get my useless phone to work,he said youre going to have to leave if youre not dumping anything-i told him get f####d mate ive just dopped off an old computer.i thought lets stoop as low as him and swear at him-i dont get embarrased very easy and shouted it down his throat as loud as i can.
forget trying to build a rapport/bond with these guys-their a waste of time-losers one and all

should've just grabbed it and run.

hey terry-you ever felt the weight of one of these?
ive had one previously-and just to lift one up and run with it, clear the tip compound and out the way would have been too long

Way back in the late 80's a housemate had one, and yeah you need to be fit that's for sure.

A real shame Andy, I hope it wasn't shredded, do they recycle? We have a "Tip shop" here, with proceeds going to charity.

no they dont recycle mate-by monday that vz will be in the crusher.i didnt rate mine that highly anyway but id hate to see one go to the crusher-id have offered it on here if id have got it.its just a shame and such a waste.somebody has ditched that to buy one of these modern, lacklustre pieces of total garbage that cant hold a flame to these old boxes.im sooo angry i could kill....

i did offer to bung him a few quid-but like lav loo says-theyre wankers-the lot of them.useless, wastes of space the lot of them-i hope when he moves it to put in the crusher he drops it on his bloody foot-then he'll know about it

there is another way mate.............you gotta nip over the fence at night in a black boiler suit and balaclava holding a box of milk tray, grab it , then use your jet pack on full throttle for your timely escape...........consider it got

I'd only go to those lengths if it was an RX-5350 or an M90! Not sure about the jetpack thing though... I'd have to make do with the legs!

not sure a jet pack would have handled the weight of the vz

Thats a f----ed up story Andy. People sometime are jerks. What would be the harm in you just taking it and enjoying it instead of throwing it away. AGGHHHHHHHHHH

Next time call them and say your wife dropped off your boombox and she wasn't to throw it away. Then have a friend go to pick it up.
