I have an RX-CT900, and it's fully working and in great condition like yours lav loo. I paid about £10 for mine also, and am of the opinion that I got a really good deal. It's looks aren't really my thing these days, but it's quality is outstanding. It's an awesome sounding box, and really does pump the bass. Everytime I take it out of the cupboard for a blast, I'm always astonished at the amount of control you have over the sound with the equalizer and the XBS (loudness) button. It's so bassy and has great highs and midrange sounds. It has great features including that digital tuner/clock (which is actually very good, much better than the Kaboom's), and all those presets. Just an awesome box. Nod Yes

thanks for that RA, i agree with everything you,ve said there mate Nod Yes im not a massive fan of the looks but when i saw it i had to have it.
i knew it would ooze quality and i was right, i might keep it for it,s impressive sound Wink

im.out.of.hear - 2010-06-10 07:43

i saw one of these about a month ago for £15,but it had Cd,double auto reverse decks and feather touch cassette controls, digital tuner, imagin that box but with the same stuff on it as the DT680,and you got it..it was really nice,i passed though..looking back now,i dont know why ?

retro.addict - 2010-06-10 07:50

Gettoman, did it have the same sort of design as the CT900, and have a CD player and logic decks? Wow, you really should have got that box!

The CT950 (I think that's the model) is identical to the CT900 but it has a remote. It doesn't have a CD though as far as I'm aware. Do you know the model of the box you passed up?

lav.loo - 2010-06-10 07:54

well i nearly passed this up G,MAN Nod Yes but then i thought of the sound quality it would give so i grabbed.
also preston market is a good 30 miles from me so i did,nt want to leave with an empty boot Laugh Out Loud Wink

im.out.of.hear - 2010-06-10 08:24

Retro,i made one mistake,it had single tape, but did have auto reverse,Feather Touch Cassette in the same style as the Dt680,digital tuner,Cd in the same place as the 680,it was nice, and yep,i say it again,i'm wondering why i left it there..i've done that a few times,i saw a VZ2500 for £15 and left it,the old bloke and woman begged me to buy it and even knocked themselves down to a tenner, but i still said no,infact they could have said a fiver and i would have said no (stoopid Confused) also seen a Hitachi TRK550? it had fancy text writing on the front and i think 10 banb Eq..that was £10,i left it...

brigadier.vytas - 2010-06-10 08:26

lav.loo - 2010-06-10 08:30

Lav Loo, my man, in the house I live here in Venice we've got exactly the same model used as home stereo! It's very good, in the bass department outshines my Sharp GF-9494 (which it's however 'bout 10 years older)and the 5-band equalizer it's really effective, for 10£ you really had a bargain! Lots of features and excellent quality, this ain't no shabby boombox. Its only flaws to me are the look, which ain't bad but quite dull and not being as cool as older models but the quality it's there !

lav.loo - 2010-06-11 01:55

thanks for that MIAMI, i totally agree with you 100% Nod Yes Wink

andyboombox - 2010-06-11 07:18

davebush - 2010-06-11 14:27

muto - 2010-06-11 15:02

I bet it sounds better than most old skool boomers but does not look so cool Wink. Not too bad though Tap Toes

redbenjoe - 2010-06-11 17:49

thats a great box --
its part of the pre bi-amp platinum series-
with wonderful sound --imho.
if you had paid 30 pounds--still a good deal

driptip - 2010-06-11 18:25

panabox - 2010-06-12 07:10

lav.loo - 2010-06-12 09:24
