Somebody knows something about this 'box? I've never saw it and I didn't know Mitsubishi built any radios but I find it pretty cool:

Weighs 15kg! Should be one of the heaviest ghetto blasters out there! And 51w of power consumption should guarantee of it being very loud. Must be quite difficult to walk around with this anyway Leaving ...

its a nice box-considering having it still

This Y-500 has no battery compartment, so it's not really boombox.
What a shame, it,s look very nice.

I see, so it's more of a compact home stereo...that's a pity, I was seriously thinkin' to buy it but given it's specs I wouldn't do much with it...

yeah your right it's not really a boombox. It's a mini shelf system. the seller is misleading everyone on ebay. Someone most likely could do a paypal dispute and be able to return it. since he is listing it as a boombox when it's not. I bet there is enough room in there for someone to add a battery pack. mood the back of the unit. make a battery compartment with a door. like these people on here made knobs and battery doors. sounds like a lot of work but then you would be the only one at the park carring this as a boombox.
