one series collectors?

lav.loo - 2010-09-25 10:30

ok guys, is there any members on here that collect just one series of boxes? e.g sharp gf,s/panasonic rx,s.
when i first started collecting and when i found out that some brands made literally hundreds of different models, i was tempted to try and go for a full series, maybe the sharp gf series.
after thinking on it for a while, i decided not to because it would probably take an eternity to get them all Nod Yes
i am curious to know if there,s anyone on here who does collect one series and if so have you managed to get them all? bet not Big Grin Wink

I have...the entire 777 series family....except the H and the E and a few others...

penge - 2010-09-25 12:23

Would you believe it, i just checked my 777,as it's hanging above my head and it's an E.
GF-777E
What's the dif Blaster?

blaster - 2010-09-25 14:08

As far as i know pretty much the same except the E has the tuner section in black instead of blue like the Z...annnd the E is only sold over seas like in the UK...maybe the E stands for England....and there is an R version as well and i think maybe only sold in russia...just my theory... Wink

lav.loo - 2010-09-25 14:15

Eek that,s a family in a family Nod Yes when i typed in the GF series i forgot there was a number of 777 models and not just one, good stuff BLASTER congrats in order Wink

redbenjoe - 2010-09-25 14:25

our member 71spud has most if not all of several jvc series boxes --complete with every possible
jcv accessory ---
remotes, manuals , straps , bags --everything !!

71spud - 2010-09-25 15:12

This is true....

I collect these JVC series---

JVC 30**
JVC CD-**
JVC DC-**
JVC PC-***
JVC PC-RM***
JVC RC-***
JVC RC-M**
JVC RC-S**
JVC RC-W**

I usually have a couple of each model, in the JW and/or C,W etc versions. Color variations as well if there are any. I have probably a dozen in their original boxes.

Along with many many volumes of original service manuals for all JVC boombox models I also collect owners manuals, brochures, accessories (for my favorite models like the PC-5) And several examples of JVC walkmen as well.

What can I say... I like my JVC!

lav.loo - 2010-09-25 15:32

wow that must of took years of hard work 71SPUD Nod Yes it must feel really good to have got them all Wink

71spud - 2010-09-25 15:35

I don't have "all" of anything... but I am probably closer than most when it comes to JVC.

lav.loo - 2010-09-25 15:42

well maybe not all then, but lets say a good chunk of Big Grin

71spud - 2010-09-25 15:53

For example if you only look at model numbers an not "JW" or "C" variations or different colors I have these of the JVC PC-*** series--

PC-2
PC-3
PC-4
PC-5
PC-6
PC-11
PC-25
PC-30
PC-37
PC-47
PC-50
PC-55
PC-70
PC-90
PC-111
PC-150
PC-200
PC-550

As far as I can tell I am missing--

PC-1 (I only have the center section of a PC-1, no speakers)
PC-7
PC-27
PC-39
PC-168

But there may be more that I am not aware of...

lav.loo - 2010-09-25 15:59

still that,s some list you got goin on there Nod Yes i hope you get the missing ones, that would be a nice achievement for anyone Wink

retro - 2010-09-25 16:52

I remember Matrixambience having several Panasonic RX - 5050's at one time. I think it was ten, if I remember correctly.

71spud - 2010-09-25 18:06

That is a whole other question... There are collectors that go nuts over one model of box. I do that too. I probably have a dozen PC-5 boomers myself. There are a few other models that are my favorites too...
