litfan - 2010-10-08 10:19

Yeah. It might be a smaller boombox, but, it packs a mean punch. That sanyo bass, is the best.

lav.loo - 2010-10-08 10:53

hello LITFAN stranger Big Grin ye iv'e been told it sounds really good that's why i went for it, i do love it's look too, im expecting it to be something like my 9191 Wink

litfan - 2010-10-08 14:02

Sanyo`s better, just.

lav.loo - 2010-10-08 14:13

Eek i will give my verdict when iv'e tried and tested it Nod Yes Wink

litfan - 2010-10-08 14:26

That remins me. I`ll have to get on to roddy at radiohier. See if he has fixed my m9994.

lav.loo - 2010-10-08 14:44

you have a 9994, i believe these are even better and bigger than the 9990, your verdict please Big Grin

litfan - 2010-10-08 14:49

About the same, soundwise. The 9994, has those silly swivel tweeters.

lav.loo - 2010-10-08 14:52

ye i thought it had, i think that's a real cool feature though, although it probably does'nt have much effect No No

litfan - 2010-10-08 15:13

It doesn`t really. Just one of those daft things they liked o come up with.

lav.loo - 2010-10-08 15:17

gadgetry eh, is the 9994 much bigger than the 9990??

Congrats on your purchase, Lav! You will be impressed with the M9990, mate. It sounds absolutely awesome. I love mine cause the sound is just sooooo good. When I got mine, I was expecting a very good sound cause I already had an M9930 which I still have, it's got far more bass than I've ever heard from a box that size, probably more than the Hitachi TRK-8600 in fact, and it only has a tone control. It's basically a mini M9990 with half the features. Even though I was expecting a really good sound from the M9990, I was really blown away. It's a box that simply doesn't need a loudness control. I couldn't work out where all the bass was coming from!! The highs are really nice too. Oh, and it's quite good on the eye, which is the important thing.

I think they're more or less the same size. I read somewhere that the M9994 was originally aimed at professional users, rather than general consumers. It's quality is extremely good, far superior to the M9990, and it sounds even better than the M9990.

thanks RA, you say all them great things about the 9990 and then spoil it for me at the end with the 9994 Laugh Out Loud maybe i should go for a 9994 next Wink
