How Rare Is The GF-1000??

ghettoboom777 - 2008-05-14 12:25

Hi everyone-How rare is the GF-1000??
I was curious as I never see them for sale.
They look really cool with the blue color.
What's the big difference between the 777 and the 1000??
Is the Gf-1000 more powerful??
I'd really like to get one someday.
Thanks-Ghettoboom777. Smile

That's a really good question. I'd say that the GF-767 is even rarer than the GF-1000.

henrytai - 2008-05-14 12:46

those white woofer are lovely~!!
i think the output should be nearly the same~ Smile

Volume wise id say they are the same as both my 777's and gf1000's rock ill do a quick compare and let you know later unless sombody else steps up, as for rarity the only person i have seen selling them is peppin and i also have a 767

That opinion is based on what I've seen and heard here. The GF-767 doesn't seem to get as much "air time" (showing them off) from members as the GF-1000 does.

I agree geoff Nod Yes

I have just had a coparo i have had them both flat out bass on half trebble on full and i can confirm they are both the same volume the gf1000 is slightly clearer in the trebble department mids are slightly better and so is bass but only slightly, and then again this could be the positioning of the boxes. the test was done on just under half volume.

no sorry only rare unit statistics Wink

I remember there seemed to be quite a few turn up in russia or somewhere like that Gedcom used to show quite a few of them on auction when we all used to frequent the chat room. They cant be to rare atleast with peppin, after all i have 2 of them.

Litfan has one

pumpaction has one and there are a couple more members with them.

kittmaster - 2008-05-14 17:53

I have one, its kind of messed up due to a major hum it has in it.....but after I get appleknocker's and sinister's and oldskool's boxes up and running.....I'll be targetting the finish on mine....With the new drivers from appleknocker......its does sound really good....can't wait to have it all said and done.

ghettoboom777 - 2008-05-14 21:00

Hi-Thanks for al the info on this-I did see the Gf-777 Vs. The Gf-1000 post-That was cool!!
You just don't see many of the GF-1000's!
I'm thinking it was an overseas boombox only?
Have a great week-ghettoboom777. Smile

l.lopez - 2008-05-14 21:24

SmileThe 777 is more stronger than the 767 but the 767 is harder to optain these days as the 777 hsas black grills the 767 has blue grills.

blaster - 2008-05-14 21:31

i think the 767 is more rarer because i think it had a shorter production rate than the 777 or any of the gf-line...plus the 767 is very much like the gf-1000 and the gf-999 it shares many of the parts of the two...like the blue grilles and knobs and all three say auto program search system,...while the 777 says auto program locate device....

masterblaster84 - 2008-05-14 22:19

I would agree that the 767 is the rare model, hardly ever see them for sale.

sinister - 2008-05-15 07:11

i guess my 767 is kinda rare then. kool Big Grin
