Since I made a little video of my Marantz PMS-7000 and recently my Aiwa CS880. I figured I would make a video of another rare bird in action,my Aiwa CS770K that I got last winter from Royal. I don't think a lot of members have seen a 770 in action so here it is. I hope you enjoy it. Aiwa CS770 video.

Thanks a lot guys! I think the CS770 is a forgotten hero. Overshadowed by the CS880 and CS660. It is a nice unit, in the same class as the M70 and GF9292. Maybe not as loud as the M70,but with the DSL on it has a better warm sound. "IMHO".

That is a nice unit Skip! Sounds like it has middle child syndrome being forgotten!!!

cheerz skip i have had 2 of these units both smashed up in the post, from what i heard of one of them before it gave up the ghost there ok units, i guess im just not meant to have an aiwa in my collection.

Thanks Vladi! Yes, Aiwa did make a CS770 with VU meters. it was made in 1981 and it was the CS770 MK1 "see my avetar" . The one I have was made in 1982 it is a CS770 MK2.

Oh, I see. This 1982 Aiwa looks a lot like Sanyo 650 - much more so than the 1981 CS770 - anybody else thinks so??

You are correct,the Sanyo does look similar.
