its really hard to explain. i used a plain cassete and cut it up till the ipod nano fits perfectly, and bought a cassette adapter that was meant for mp3 players to work with cars that has no CD player. i removed the circuit board and the cassette head from the adapter and put it in the ipod cassette adapter i made. oh and i used a headphone plug to connect to the nano. i did alot of gluing and it was stressful. it was worth it though.

BUT THERES ONE THING THAT I HAD TO DO .. I HAD TO REMOVE SOME PARTS OF THE CASSETTE PLAYER.
LIKE THOSE TWO WHEELS THAT ROLLS THE TAPES (I DONT KNOW WHAT EXACLY THEYRE CALLED)

stbnyc - 2008-04-18 21:40

you all can use battery packs.. it all depends on how much voltage you need

my boombox is 15v so i used two 7.2v battery packs (usually made for remote controlled toys like cars) and it equals to 14.4v (close to 15v) and it still runs great

NO .... that IS A GOOD explanation !!! thanks I wouldnt have thought of that I thought that you had made somehting different but in effect you Modded a adapter -- that is in itself, a kewl idea ... and then you went on with your b;box modification ...

thanks James aka DecentMan4you -- yes ,,,, now its a dumb name ... as I get older -- I'll be 49 in October ...
