interesting military shape...

I guess they did like to boogie down in East Germany. To bad I had to experience getting a rifle pointed at me as a youth while in Berlin for a (U.S. Style) football tournament. We all were looking across the wall at a check point and flashed West German & U.S. flag saying One Berlin/One Germany All People Free. They didn't like our youthful protest. I was 14 at the time and needless to say we got chewed out pretty good by our government officials as well.

ANYWAY...to stay on topic before Panafan hunts me down...That first model you posted looks pretty robust. I'm sure it's a clone of something since eastern bloc countries and other communist nations were notorious for "free licensing" of ideas. I would hope that skr501 doesn't have a clone. That thing looks like it would make a hostile takeover of my collection!

The first one ( RFT EAW 145 ) is a cool unit for sure.

Even if i do not like most of them old gdr boxes i have to admit that i liked that one.

I found it on the street after the big fleet in 2002.Worked perfect and sounded very well

but that's it..these 2 boxes are likely the only 2 nicer gdr-boxes in looks and sound.

I do not know about a clone..never did see clones of either one of them 2 boxes
