Hooray, hooray, it's a holi-holiday...

I'm getting old - I'm sure I posted this before, but I can't find it anywhere...

Last October, we finally got around to having a summer holiday (out of season, cheap as chips, lovely jubbly).
I was lucky - If you were in the UK last "summer" then you'll know that the weather in October was considerably better than in August, when everywhere is twice the price.
We booked a cottage in the Lake District (near Ullswater lake) & it was a lovely peaceful place, with all the other tourists & caravans long gone.
Well it was peaceful:

Isolator I think you did post it before, I certainly remember the pic. It's OK though because that's a cool pic to post about. Cool

Geez I'm really losing it. Anyone find the original post?

Yeah, I remember that. It was very peaceful, indeed ... until some guy showed up and suddenly KA-BOOM! Big Grin

Actually, that sounds and looks like a great holiday. Thanks for sharing it.

We call it having a "senior moment".

...I suppose it's indigestion next, & then terminal confusion & incontinence.
Lovely.
Oh well, at least I can annoy people by pretending to be deaf.

Hey, wasn't I supposed to have a mid life crisis before old age set in? I was looking forward to buying a sports car & getting a girlfriend from the nearest 6th-form college. Damn...
