masterblaster84 - 2008-04-04 08:05

Welcome to S2G and nice boxes! Nod Yes
The one on top looks like a Sanyo M-9940 and the bottom one is a GF-9090 right?

thafuzz - 2008-04-04 08:12

Het Weyland, welcome aboard. I see you're a big Predator fan like I am. I thought I'd share with you a FatDog masterpiece that he made per my request. Thank you FD, and enjoy Weyland Wink

Welcome! And we all started small. You have a couple of nice ones! Smile

Smile Welcome weyland/yutani, Nice boomboxes, And I like that speaker on the bottom there.

retro.addict - 2008-04-04 10:12

That top one looks like a Sanyo M9930 to me. I've got one. It has really good bass (a bit like the GF-9090 below, which I also have) for the size of the speakers, but it lacks highs. Nice box.

erniejade - 2008-04-04 12:00

That is a great setup you have there!

weylandyutani - 2008-04-04 13:22

Top box is the M9930k + the 9090 i made my poor bro in law drag home in his luggage from the uk at xmas time after buying on ebay haha. Also have a 9902f that i got for 5 bucks last week and im waiting on a mystery box my friend is rescuing from someones garage!

masterblaster84 - 2008-04-04 13:28

Ah yes I stand corrected that is a 9930, a very nice box for it's size.
A 9902F for $5, those are the deals you can't pass up. My very first box in 1979 was the 9902, I bought it brand new for about $90. That was a huge sum of money for a 13 year old in 1979. Nod Yes

Keep us posted on the mystery box W/Y.

That speaker on the bottom belongs to my old technics midi system that i brought off a friend for next to nothing and the speakers were bubble wrapped and never used. Thats my weapon of choice for playing old vinyl!!!
