I dont know if this had been thought of or proposed... but If someone is really web-savvy, how about making a web banner to the effect of

'dear jvc,sony, panasonic, and all else interested, BRING THE BOOMBOX BACK!!!'

so we and anyone else in the world, can post it on their web pages, auctions etc., and spread the word there is a market here!

Maybe this could help send 'them' the message to make some modern day boomers....
