I really like finding these twins! It amazes me how much licensing or rebadging was done! Big Grin

arkay - 2008-02-24 10:35

Fascinating! I agree with oldskool69: the number of rebadges and OEMs and such among boomboxes just boggles the mind sometimes.

Thanks for sharing that must-be-pretty-rare box/pic! Just gives us all one more thing to keep the old eyes open for!

I agree, the rebadges are mind boggling.
That's the first rebadge I've seen of the Big Ben, I didn't even know any rebadged Big Ben's existed.

thankx drat it's a nother german seller hope they are better than that 'D-gold' seller when I win ...

isolator42 - 2008-02-27 06:22

Ooh, nice. Does the description say it's fully working?

kid.sensation - 2008-02-27 06:33

he says that the tape-deck is not working and the record-light stays on permanently.

Otherwise he states that all is in good and working condition, apart from some contact cleaner needed on the volume.

Wink

wow!

tpr - 2008-03-05 09:11

not too bad! EUR 401.00
(approximately US $609.92)

masterblaster84 - 2008-03-05 09:16

I bid on that one but wasn't willing to go over $700 which is what it would have cost me after shipping. Frown

baby.boomer - 2008-03-05 09:43

Yeah, I wanted it so bad I could almost taste it, but the shipping cost from Germany and the exchange rate did me in. (Plus, the cassette belts were gone.) I know I'll be sorry I chickened out on this one! I already kind of am... but at least I'm glad to find out I wasn't the only one. Frown Misery loves company!

I know what you mean BB, there have been other boxes I lost because I initially didn't want to pay what they sold for only to regret it later. Oh well I try not to look back, rather just learn and go after the next one.

radiohier - 2008-03-05 15:00

yes
we never paid so much for one boombox, but now its ours.
and we love it.
and its a real cool box.
