Looks pretty neat, almost 100% retro in looks! I hope they actually go through with it and bring it out onto the market.

WHY??

Why dont they just build in the mp3 player?

If your going to buy a complete unit, it might as well come with the mp3 built in.
It just looks like a modified box that way,
it would look a lot better if the mp3 was incorporated with retro knob buttons for the controls. The digital display could simulate a cassette reel... that would be cool and it could have a usb hub in the back to "upload" mp3 to the box.

(if only I had the technical ability and equipment to build one...)

And lets not forget those rather wonderful Open reel cassettes which I'm sure TEAC used to make...that would be a great send off for cassettes before they finally stop making them everywhere on the planet!
