A New Crazy Looking Boombox!!

ghettoboom777 - 2008-09-26 19:44

Hi everyone-My brother had a boombox in his garage he gave his daughter back in 1999' and she hasn't used it in years so he gave it to me.
It's a Venturer CD1282 and it's blue in color.
It works great and sounds really decent for it's size.
I've never heard of one and it's made in Canada.
I've never even heard of anyone having one of these.
Are they rare, does anyone know anything about these?
It has a cassette and am-fm and a front-loading c.d. player.
I'll try to post a picture but stupid me doesn't have a digital camera yet so I'll have to take some boombox photos and get them developed right away.
I kind of like it but it does look like a girls boombox. Red Face
If anyone knows anything about these let me know.
Thanks-Ghettoboom777. Confused Smile

If my mind serves me right these are Wal-Mart/K-Mart brands. Nothing special. They serve their purpose much the same as a rolling pin serves it's purpose. Smile

Yup. Bought an orange one back when translucent iMac colors were popular. GB777, if you really want to see it, I can dig it out and take a photo. Cheap, basic transportation in its day (not too long ago).

Thanks for the info but hey,it was free!
It's no grail Laugh Out Loud but It might be a good shed or garage radio.
I guess I wouldn't carry this one around! Laugh Out Loud
I was thinking of putting blue led's in it to make it glow blue!!
Improve on the design!~It would be cheap and easy to do and then maybe when I see my niece again she might want it back.
It's an idea-I'm looking for more serious stuff right now!
Thanks-Ghettoboom777. Smile Razz

There are millions of venturer products up here in Canada. Sold at Zellers at cheap prices. Every thrift store up here is filled with them.
