Scrappy box - what label?

viennasound - 2008-09-21 11:51

In the holidays i´ve seen in the garage of a friend this old box. Missing the 2nd Cassette-door, i´m sure the label was on it.
I had no chance to put it down and look for an Labelsticker.
Anybody knows what it can be and it´s interesting for saving?!?

i bet it's either a cheap Fisher, or a Fisher knock-off. er..wait, maybe im thinking Emerson. either way i have a box with the same tape-deck configuration that is very similar, and its one of those two brands. interesting box!

Probably an Emerson or Embassy or a Soundesign or Luna or who knows I guess a Craig maybe Radio Shack but at least is a boombox. Smile

right - cheers RA Smile

Today i was there and got it!
It´s an SOUND-TECHNIC!!!
More infos and pics tomorrow.
I changed it against an old KAPSCH of my boombox-wreck-storage. Big Grin

viennasound - 2008-09-28 22:29

Today i tested it.
Plugging in > nothing > short hit at the wave switcher > rumblin´... > short hit on the top > playig! Big Grin
So it looks like, cleaning the switches and regulators is enough.
After cleanig i saw, the brand is named near the bottom, next the tape deck buttons.
Under the dust was it. Razz

And here a few shots of the first playing after many years:

And one for TPR, if interesting: Roll Eyes

If anybody have the missing tapedoor, please tell me! Cool

Nice blaster, Roman! Cool

Shame about the missing door, it looks like it cleaned up well! Smile

...is that a railway signal board you've got there?

viennasound - 2008-09-29 03:50

Thanks, R.A.!
Not cleaned well, but off the great dust. Roll Eyes
Final cleaning soon.
I´m sure i won´t find the missing door.
I´ve never seen such an box/brand before.... Frown
I only remember an old "car-technic" radio in my first car.

Yes, it was in the morning at my signal desk at our railway station. I thought it´s an nice background... Big Grin

It certainly is! Big Grin Lit up with LEDs like that, it looks like something which would be featured on-board a spacecraft or something, in an '80s film! Cool
