daddy boom returned..

kid.sensation - 2009-03-05 13:05

after roughly a year one of my boxes returned to me.

last may i had it out at a friends place to deliver the tunes - since that day it sat in his house waiting for return.

me and my buddy often forgot about it and , of course, this thing is way to damn heavy to carry it through the whole town.

last week he showed up and what a surprise - he brought back daddy boom to the family Smile

after all this time of non-playing i turned it on and , yet another surprise, it worked just like before and blew off my ears at the same time.

some may not call it a boombox in the classic meaning - but imho the "boom" this "box" delivers speak for its own.

a great feeling to have them all together again Smile

Well why don't you just bring it to my house and forget about it. And don't worry, I WON'T return it! Laugh Out Loud Laugh Out Loud Laugh Out Loud Laugh Out Loud

KID is this multi-volt?

kid.sensation - 2009-03-06 04:48

you're right success Wink

gs - they might not sound as good as a telefunken hifi-studio in the low-volume area ( in the bass-area) but they beat the studio step for step with turning up the volume.
At about half of the volume it's loud as hell and still bassy - no distortion at all.Until now i did not found the point where this machine distorts as my ears can't take the sheer volume.

drip - yes, they are multi-voltage - at least my RX-A2 is , dunno about the RX-6400 ( which is the same unit)

blah.blah.blah - 2009-03-06 11:25

love it!

redbenjoe - 2009-03-06 11:58

he kid --
are you SURE the studio is better than the A2 at low volume ???? Smile

just asking -
because i dont think anything is a good as the A2 at ANY volume Big Grin

kid.sensation - 2009-03-06 13:09

Ira - the studio has awesome bass at low volume! no boomer i can think of could come close to that - not even the A2.

But as said, with raising volume the A2 beats every other box - period Big Grin Smile

redbenjoe - 2009-03-06 13:29

i have to say i heard one of these recently and i found it kind of dull.
i do think it looks awesome but it sounds flat as a can of pop that has been out in the sun for a week.
its all personal taste of course but i didnt even think this thing was that loud.
