I bought this Hitachi Big Block carry case a long time ago. What a beautiy - and this thing sounds as it looks - great!

But I had the problem that the tape door was missing - last weekend I visited a jumble and found a exchange tape for little money. Cool - now it's complete!

I never thought I bought a second Hitachi - after I first heared the TRK 9900 (the biggest gun at this time Hitachi offered) I was so disapointed. The 9900 sounds as flat as my radio-alarm-clock ... but this carry combo, wow, just blows me away.

If you ever find such a carry combo go for it! It's a real hifi-unit and sounds 10x better than the TKR 9900 ...

I have 3 9900's. and I like them Tom, maybe you got a dud? They are very heavy, and reek of quality...

When ever you visit me, you'll hear the difference between a Hifi- and a Stereo-Boombox - I promise to you ...

The 9900 is a typical "great looking, bad sounding unit", like the Marantz PMS 7000, GF 777, Technics SA-07 and so many others ...

Quality of all this top-bboxes is great. But specialy when you hear this compo next to the 9900 you would understand what I mean ... hope I could show you the difference between them (and others) some day (?) ...
