it arrived damaged yesterday morning,a piece of plastic has broken off the top of the main unit,i`ve glued it back on,then when i pressed play,the deck jammed up,i think its rotted belts (i think the guy knew that) then to top it off,i hurd a piece of plastic rattling around in the speaker cabinet,so i took it apart to investigate,one of the bass speaker mounts has snapped off,then when i took the bass speaker out,i noticed speaker rott,so its a total disaster,my heart just sunk,i`m gutted,i contacted the seller yesterday in disgussed,i said i dont want it,but after a genuine and apologetic reply,i could tell he is ok,so i decided to just take it on the chin,i`ll replace the cassette belts,and order 2 (are they 4"?) foam/rubber repair rings..either that or sell it on,i dont know what to do yet..
i`m still recovering,my head is pounding from this yet another head ache of a purchase..

Ah, thats the worst, I feel for you there.

I'd take it one problem at a time. Maybe even see if you can replace the woofers all together and customise her up? The speaker repair is an easy one though, and the kits can be found cheap.


Good luck, hope she gives you back some love soon Gettoman! Just think how much more you'll love her after investing the effort, I always appreciate the radios I have to work on to get up to speed more than the ones that are all working on arrival, might just be me though.
