What's The Real Difference Between The GF-777H,Z & 767??

ghettoboom777 - 2009-01-13 19:01

Hi everyone-I have a 777H,777Z & a 767.
Now I have come to the conclusion that the 777H is the most powerful, even though they all say they draw 60watts.
I think the 767 could be just as powerful-sounds like it,still needing a couple of transducers(speakers) to make it really blast.
Now the 777Z is almost as powerful but not quite the H-it just seems like this from some sound observations.
What does everyone else think on this?
Isn't there a little difference on the outputs on these?
Let me know as I love em' all! Nod Yes
Have a great one-GB. Smile Cool

Doesn't the 767 have piezo-electric tweeters and the 777 cone style tweeters?I seem to remember this from a thread in the forum (unless I'm mistaken).

Differences:

GF-777H: 61 diodes
GF-777Z: 59 diodes

GF-777H: 24W RMS
GF-777Z: 28W RMS

GF-777H: 45W PMPO
GF-777Z: 90W PMPO

GF-777H: 12.2kg
GF-777Z: 11.8kg

GF-777H: 0.14V 22ohms (Line In)
GF-777Z: 0.2V 22ohms (Line In)

Everything else is pretty much the same, except for the radio frequencies.

Hey Fatdog-Just what I wanted-Thank-You!
Now-for what I hear is that the low volume on the H is the best for sound depth(don't know why-more diodes?)The Z has more power?
I have to get in on this Z and clean-up all the pots and just give it a general inside clean-up.
I hate taking this apart though-the back and screws are in tight and it's in perfect shape!
It seems once you get those long screws out they never go in perfect again unless it's been taken off alot in it's life.

The 767 does have the Piezo style tweeters now that I remember looking into mine.
I will have a (3) 777 style boombox stand-off in the not to distant future! Nod Yes
I haven't really kicked in the 777Z yet-still cleaning it up nice(photos to be soon-sorry about my antiquity style photo development. Red Face
Have a great one & thanks again FD-GB. Smile
