Anyone got a JVC PC-2?

petey.awol - 2009-02-11 12:16

What can ya'll tell me about this local find?

I have a couple of them. They are nice, but not substantial like the PC-3 or PC-5. The date on my PC-2 service manual says March of 1984. I got mine off of ebay, you probably got a much better deal on yours.

Ehh didnt pick it up...am debating...70 bucks? Not to keen that it looks very basic.

Wanted too see you guys opinions...looks very clean...(From a grainy picture that was sent me)

Doesn't look bad for a 3 piece, not sure if I'd spend $70 on it No No

i have come across this model several times in the thrift stores here.
it is ok.
i would not say it is good for the price being asked.
i turned it down twice for 30 dollars.
it is nothing close to even a pc11

I paid $31 plus $30 shipping for one of mine... I cannot find the records on the other. $70 is a bit steep unless it is totally mint and you have a reason for wanting it other than for listening. Me, I collect late 70's to early 80's JVC.... and that is reason enough most of the time. There is a line in the sand that I have drawn and I don't get sucked into all the PC-V55 type boxes... mid to late 80's stuff. If you are buying it for a nice 3 piece to listen to I recommend saving your money for something a little more "special"
