The Speaker Was Really Blown!!

ghettoboom777 - 2009-01-12 21:29

Hi everyone-I have been restoring a GF-767 and I had some bad speakers.
Well-I replaced the really bad one(it was torn around the edge all the way) and no middles!(oh my!!) Eek
I had a great replacement from weelandeal and it if was a of course perfect fit!Every code is the same on the speaker to!
I cleaned up my volume pot. a little more also.
Well this thing rocks!-What a difference!
I now am getting 1 inner speaker(the chrome caps are missing)I also believe all the speakers on this thing are tore-up but.
After I replace 1 more and then get a better outer for the left side I will really be in buisness.
I also want to note: This thing has only less then 1/2 the circuit boards the GF-777H has!
There is so much room in the back versus the 777H.
It has to be all the echo and dubbing and other recording ammenities in there.
I also noticed the sound is better on the 777 but I still don't know by how much until I replace those other 2 at least.
My 777H on low volumes is unreal-just like those speakers were new-Very powerful.
I'm so looking forward to replacing 1 or 2 more speakers on this thing-it's a fun unit to fix-up.
Have a great one-GB. Smile
