Just picked up a modular 2250 a month or so back. It is a FANTASTIC radio. Plays loud, with good clarity and good bass. One of my better sounding BBX's.

This one on ebay right now for only $50 + $20 to ship. Looks like it's in nice condition. In my opinion, a steal at that price.

I agree!!! I have one and it is very much worth adding to any collection!!!

I posted about this model about 3-4 years ago. It's a rebadged Sanyo, and I agree it's a nice quality box. Not tons of bass, but nice overall sound.

Looks-wise, it doesn't shout quality (IMHO):

Loads of RadioShack/Tandy b-boxes were re-badged Sanyos. I recognised plenty when browsing those Radio Shack catalogs online. Were their prices in the USA as inflated as they were in the UK?

HA i had this in 1987 SANYO guise. Was in my first full time job and spent a great deal of my pitiful wages to get it. It was a really loud box and yes it could have done with more bass. Cant remember the sanyo model number but did ask on here about it last year and someone posted good picture.
