what we (not must) got to do!

Hi all,

We got a member - Jared - with a serious health problem and with a serious surgery intervention regarding that.
He need some time for recovering now, and ofcourse he need to pay the bill for treatment and med issues, etc.

What I hawe to say: Jared has intention to selling some of his boomboxes and with that money to replenish the very tight cash in his budget.
We all know how is it to dreaming about some boxes, Colecting and careing with much love, how is the feeling wen we got it after maybe a long time on searching, expecting to arrived and so.

Question: Is it posible for us, to organize some charitable fund on Jared account? On that way WE (the members) will be donate some money.
So in that way, Jared is dont need to seling all his boomboxes.
What do you think guys for this?

My opinion is: put the account number and bank name here (or in place where we can see them safely) and we will try to donate everyone as much as we can.

At in the end, all we are the brothers and sisters here and we should be care for ich other.

In expectation of coments, suggestions and actions.

Great idea Devol-Toni. I'd like to help a fellow member in this unexpected situation. Count me in too. Only question is; How to set this up safely and securely so that Jared gets maximum assistance w/o mishaps? As far as an account info, this is a security issue and might need to be done with the utmost care. I yield to the next member to chime in and offer any suggestions.

Maybe a safer and easier way could be to do it as an individual effort such as members selling a modest box on ebay (for example) then, mailing Jared a donation directly with certified receipt mail.

I think a direct link with his address via PP would be the safest route for everyone involved. The worse thing that can happen is he gets spammed. Unless it is typed like:

mymail A-T mysitename D o T com

This way none of the spiders can pick it up. Everyone has PP and if they don't hell its free for heavens sake. If the desire is that bad, then people will find a way to send the donations via PP.

Everyone seems to use PP for buying BBX's, what is the problem here?

It also protects the sender since a CC can be used and steer from any kind of nonsense and give the sender piece of mind.........IMO

Smilei'm very touched thanks Guys, but i've closed my pp acct. Believe me i'm not going to sell all my boxes just some, ebay is still an option but it's pp only on there, this kind gesture is much appreciated,i would much rather sell a box then just accept a donation but the thought is truly appreciated,i'll list some more over the coming days as i feel better,i'm kinda like the weather one day good, one day bad!LOL!
Thanks again you guys are awesome,! Smile
