Can any one tell me what version this is? Lasonic 931

master.z - 2009-03-22 07:56

I've been doing searches on the forum but can't find the thread, and I remember just recently reading someting about this.
I have a chance to buy this Lasonic 931 from a guy who replied to my craigslist ad. Can someone tell me what version it is?

Thanks.
Paul Z.

Also, I know of a mint condition Lasonic 935 in the Wild located in Michigan if any one is interested. It's just a little out of my current price range.(but a really good deal)
If interested I'll give you the details.

That's probably at least the 3rd variant based on what old member fins5 posted a while back. Notice how the top left and right corners are different on the Craigslist box.

1st Variant
No auto-reverse, VUs on the right, SW1/SW2/AM/FM. AFAIK this is the very first one Lasonic made.

2nd Variant
Autoreverse, VU-type LEDs on the left (not real VUs, they just dance to the music). AM/FM.

But there must exist a 1,5nd Version too! Big Grin
Or what will be mine?
VU´s at the left, but no autoreverser and a older look:

But MasterZ´s is a autoreverser.
So looks like 2nd version.... Roll Eyes

Ok, so I'm more confused than when I started. There has to be a definitive answer.
TPR are you out there and could you shed some light on this??? Confused

Thanks for all the replys. I cleaned it up last night and I was impressed. I was having my second thoughts when I was bringing it home cause it was covered in grime, but all the chrome shined up nice and the black finish doesnt have too many scratches. I'll post pics and a report later tonight.

Peace,
Paul Z.

Ive had half a dozen of these, and never had the version you show.

We had a thread once apon a time, probably several years ago now...

We tried to compile all the different versions, but didnt really get anywhere with it if I remember right?

The 1st edition TRC-931 is the ONLY one that matters. Razz
