that is either a conion c100f , a clairtone 7980 or.... a helix 4635 same box just 3 different brands

I Agree it's the conion

Hey b.cat..another important point to make about the conion, they were never sold in the uk,so i think if you want one, you`d have to import one,but beware..big shipping charges and cant forget the rippoff britain import tax..

Expensive to get one here for all the reasons Getto says - but in my book worth it if you have the funds.

If I had to take just one box to a desert island, this would be it. The proximity alarm would scare aware any predators!

As for boombox pics, look no further than the Boombox Database (BBDB) from Stereo2Go moderator *TPR*... Smile

When i was younger and on my bmx - i read a lot of bmx mags and there were always boxes in the back ground - big and looking so cool - but when i looked in the catalogues there only seemed to be small / mid size boomboxs, nothing like in the mags with the USA going large - so was trying to work out if the uk had smaller boxes for the main stream ( bigger if you knew where to look or speacilist shops )

Shipping is like BMX's - cheaper in the US then trying to get them shipped over here puts the price up and kills finding a sweet deal

cheers all Wink

On average mainstream UK boxes were smaller, yes. Example as Gettoman pointed out above, was the Conion/Clairtone box in that first picture was never sold in the UK. I don't think JVC M90 or M70 were either but I could be wrong.

There were big boxes available though, the Crown SZ5100 for example; huge, beautiful with looks that outshine it's performance but still a grail in my view.
