The Watts stated on the back of the unit is nothing to do with the RMS sound wattage,its only the wattage for the power consumption,the only real way you can find out is get a manual,or get someone with a manual to read it and tell you..

Also, depending upon what voltage these units are set at (many are multi-voltage), you'll end up with differing max power consumption.

I agree Panasonic Fan, and if you're out walking with it, make sure you keep an extra set of Duracells handy!!!
