Does anone have a fully functioning Pioneer Sk-95 motor that they might be willing to depart with? I am only looking for one that is in full working order. Thanks.

paul i think you may be able to replace it with a new one from studio sound electronics--just need to know if its a cw or ccw it should be 12v
and 2400rpm ajustable it should work...

Odds are its a Mabuchi CCW (counter clock wise) 12 volt.
Whats on the lable of the motor?

Or take a picture of the motor and lable if possible.

Thank you for the message. I tried studio sound electronics and they told me that the motor is no longer available from any source. Not sure what to do, but it doesn't sound very good. My repair shop told me that they do a lot of trading parts, but I suspect this is a long shot and may not result in any long term fix even if they get a hold of one.

There are many substitute new motors that can be used.
It should not be a problem.

Another option may be to use a slightly different motor and a belt with a diferent tension rating if speed remains an issue.

A lot of people don't realize that belt tension also affects motor speed and that you can swap the belt spools form motor to motor if done carefully to help determine speed as well.

It could take a lot of fiddling but may get you where you want to be.

This is just some food for thought and I hope it can help you to a solution. Smile
