First off, you need to pick up an RCA to Ipod USB port patchcord kit, it is a line level kit that plugs in the bottom of the ipod classic, and cancels out the volume settings on the ipod, but you can control the volume, bass and treble settings on your M70...much cleaner sound and better to control....secondly, you need to disassemble the M70 and there is a 4 position switch mounted near the bottom inside of the M70 on a circuit board that gets oxidized sometimes. The actual throw switch is mounted on top of the unit, but when you open up the radio, you will be surprised that there is a long travel from the actual switch on the board to the toggle switch you move on top. It is connected on a piece of white plastic shaped like and "L" with a brace in the middle. You need to spray that switch on the board just lightly with Deoxit or Contact spray, and work it in some....it fixed mine and now it doesn't cut out or get any funky sounds coming out of it like it used to. Try those suggestions, and see if it works. Good Luck!
