WOW! better than a RC-M90 huh???????

skippy1969 - 2008-07-24 18:49

I don't believe that statement, even though I've never heard a RC-M90. Check out the B.I.N.!!!!!! Eek Leaving Confused Confused Better than an M90?????

masterblaster84 - 2008-07-24 19:19

Pretty amusing description, he's taking some liberties though. The M90 and PC-550 are two different animals and I wouldn't directly compare them but that's just me. The 550 is heavier only because the speakers cabinets are pressed wood.

The BIN is very high considering these have been selling for $100 to $300, the ones that sold around $300 came with original packaging.

scot i have one of theese plus a pc55 and although the pc55 is a grail of mine it's not a patch on the m90 at least my modded one i was comparing my m90 tonight against the kaboom wich i have never done and my m90 wins on all aspects including the bass wich suprized me, i know i have knocked em just recently but there is realy no better box once modded and certainly not the 550 by a long shot.

Back again: http://cgi.ebay.com/JVC-PC-R550C-Mother-Of-Ghetto-Blast...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Roll Eyes

Apparently, dude thinks that just because the box weighs a ton, has more power and costed more money when it was new, that automatically makes it a better box. Roll Eyes

Yeah the Kaboom beats the M-90 on the bass section but it lacks big time on highs!

isolator42 - 2008-07-31 07:29

wow, that seller really tries hard to talk up that JVC, eh?

I'm sure it's wonderful sounding & high spec, etc, however it's the big 1pc b-boxes that were iconic, & for reasons like their association with famous rap artists, appearances in film & TV, etc.
You can't rewrite history...

Once again, someone who doesn't know how to take pics, and is too cheap to pay the extra 75 cents for full-size blowups

True dat. Nod Yes

For those who don't know, if you really want a sleeper, that will lay waste to many...Get a Sanyo C9! Wink Yes it's a three peice, lets get that out of the way, but for pure power and volume it will slay an M90, WX-1 and many others. And it has plenty of punch. (Mine has different speakers but the are the same impendance and sensitivity so no advantage is gained for the amp. It just tightens it up.Smile)

As far as iconic, there are plenty of three piece radios out there as well in videos and movies. The Phase III from Magnavox used in Beat Street during the subway showdown is an example. And the PH-480 the Beastie Boys used on their album cover is another. The point is all of them from the best years had a place. Big Grin

Some sellers will say just about anything to get someone excited about a box who is not aware of what's really going on. Smile

jvc.floyd - 2008-07-31 13:35

and this one was made for combat.

panabox - 2008-07-31 13:40

Would you be willing to sell it or trade it for a JVC P550c

- 2008-07-31 13:42

Hey there Rim Tim Tim...

Yes the M90 will "play" louder than a Kaboom, but it will not "out bass" a Kaboom. Believe me. We have 9 other witnesses. Big Grin

- 2008-07-31 15:30

My m90 has been modded volume and bass is better than a kaboom get your ass down here and lets hold a stg meeting before i go insane Smile

but for a sanyo c9 to take out most m90's that is realy impressive my friend.

1 it has better speakers with lower ohms
2 the volume has been modded
3 the bass treble pots have been tweaked
4 Razz lol
