about a sony cfd-5 i was given one today and i have to say. im impressed with the sound. what year did these come out.ooh yeah....... it has a CD player on it.

I had one of those,they are a nice unit.
its the first cd boombox produced as far as i know ,you hit gold when you got that one dude.

only real problem is fst ffw and rew are a lil funky. i think it just needs belts. other then that its in real nice shape. i like it.

It seems like a number of companies came out with a CD boombox almost at the same time.
Still not sure who was the first.
But the first CD boombox of any company would be a good box to have too.
