I have many radios that will accept a clip-on carry strap. Anyone know if these straps are commonly available?
I am sure other types of straps could be used. Guitar straps?? Suggestions??

I had this issue last year, when I started carrying my ghettoblasters on my walk to work.

I ended up fabricating a strap that is basically two straps off a backpack joined together.



The clips wrap around the horizontal AND vertical parts of the handle to prevent any sliding and notch into place very securely.

I hand sewed all of it and made it in an evening, it's all adjustable and allows for much, much easy carrying boxes around, especially the larger variety. I like it on my X620k and M70 especially as the it nicely goes with the blue accents.

Not exactly what you were looking for Tburick, but I've been looking for an excuse to post it for months!
