well Jens, you have changed the name of the topic - now it's a " ... rc550..." thread,
but i answered to the "JVC / VICTOR and details & differences/suffixes" speaking about "JVC" in general,
in case of RC550 i'm not sure there are WH and C versions.

and another difference on 550LM, and 550L (LB ?) - they have an extra switch (tape selector) on the top.

One more suffix to add to your master list: KL





In this case, I think it's fair to assume that the "K" stands for "klock" ("C" was already taken for the Canada version) and the "L" for "longwave." Which is a far cry from knowing what all the JVC suffixes stand for... if they stand for anything!! (I've always thought the "W" might stand for "world," but who knows???)

Yep,I`ve changed,but let`s wait a while ,maybe we get a full list for the rc550,

They have Tape Selector



JVC RC-550S
Has no Tape Selector
