The 'Photoshopped' Box Thread

retro.addict - 2008-07-10 05:08

So, we have a new thread, suggested by this man in this thread. I posted an image of a 'reworked' MX-900 courtesy of myself. I'll kick off the thread with that picture. Here's what I did. I know it's a bit crude, but it made the point.

Before

After

Add your own photoshopped images!

This is Ed with his Guru.
But don`t think the box is manipulated ,no ,it`s indeed the GURU!
-and he did it HIMSELF! Eek

Cause he completely disappeared before uncle Ed spoke to him.... Eek

Thanks *TPR* for featuring the thread, and thanks to Charles****ens (why does it blank 'bad' words now?? So frustrating! Mad) for the suggestion. Cool

Let's see what happens...

And about the blanking thing, can't it be corrected so it doesn't affect people's names?

Look what I picked up at a thrift store for $15.00 on the way to Jose's Taco Mecca (the mecca of all things spicy and taco related)!

It's the GF77777...7 Only 7777777777 of these were made during the civil war! YEAH BABY!

(original photo credit to AK47)

After listening to DEVO through all 8 speakers of the 777777 at top volume and consuming plenty-0-tacos I decide to head home and snap pics of the new box for you guys. Well guess what I stumble upon is I ride home on my razor scooter....? A BOOOOT SALE where I found this mini Rising! I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE HECK A BOOT SALE IS!!!!?!? There sure as hell weren't any boots!

So... By now I'm PUMPED! I'm pushing along on my Razor scooter with two totally rad boomers hanging out of my fanny pack and what do I see next?????? The ultra rare Helix TRC-931 at a yard sale for $10! I wheel and deal and end up brining this sexy beast home for A NICKLE!!! MINE!

A few barrels of windex later and honey sweet honey do they look fine! MINT! These babies are gonna pay for my next scooter you WAIT AND SEEE!

WHAT A DAY FOLKS!!! I'm going to bed... Signing off, your pal, CharlesShlongins Big Grin

I love what I see here! I have got to give this a try. Smile

retro.addict - 2008-07-14 04:00

Some really nice stuff being added so far. The GF-77777 would be dragging the floor if I carried it! Big Grin The mini Rising is sweet! Cool Keep 'em comin'. Smile

It's all about creating the 'perfect' boombox. I have loads of boxes in my collection which I often look at and think "I wish the tweeters were here instead of there", or "the tuning knob would look better on the side instead of the front". Here's your chance to modify that box so it's just as you want it, minus the tools and labour. Does anyone dislike a particular feature on the JVC RC-M70, for example? Then remove it, and put something else in it's place! Cool

Post your results here! Smile

Here is the little-known Panasonic Mega-Mini
F-44444z. This was an attempt to keep up with the 777z. It proved a marketing disaster as there was no handle material that was suitable for it being portable.

I'm pretty sure this is the only photo available and that I have the only one in a collection.
