Sorry, boring I know but she was my first & the one that got me into this whole mess.

ao - 2008-11-19 21:54

Jens, always impressed by pics of your house. Beatifully personalised & it's clear that every square inch has received careful consideration.

Topic for another thread, I know, but I'd be intrigured to know what the influences were here, are they traditional Bavarian or is it more you or simply do your rooms reflect the preferances you had in mind when it was their turn?.

I'm seeing a smorgasboard of concepts from 1950's Airstream caravan to East Coast Art Decco with a splash of Greek Taverna thrown in for good measure. I'm doing our place at the moment & I often wish I could stand back & rethink things with more of an air to bravery.

Ed, that's a beautiful boombox in a beautiful setting. I really like the 4350's black color and rugged look!

I guess that's because I've always really liked the 4350's dyslexic cousin, the 5340. Not counting the VU meters, the family resemblance is amazing!

ahardb0dy - 2008-11-20 19:29

My favorite also my only boom box:

If you are interested in it, send me an PM. Wink
I tested it this moment and everything works fine. The servo controlled tapedeck is nice. I´ve just seen, there is a own eject button (not with stop).
Strange looking, but very good sounding! Nod Yes

This time it is stored in my büro as reserve to the CD compo.

aza - 2008-11-21 04:45

Here is mine. National Panasonic RX-F20
I picked this up a few years ago and couldnt believe how awesome it is. It looks and feels of quality.
Packed with features,
Short wave 1 and 2, Ambience, Line in, Track search with 3 tracks selection, 6 lights level meter, seperate 'fine tune' and my favorite feature is the little red light in the tuner glide to tell when you are tuned in to a station.
Also i think it is the only radio i have seen that has a pearl finish to the colour, hard to pick up in the photo but looks great.
On top of that it is in mint condition, even the handle is still firm when raising or lowering it, almost like that brand new feeling.

My best friend of about 15 yrs is a great supporter of my boombox collecting and she loves this one too. She doesnt know it yet but when she has her first child, boy or girl, this will be my present to them, and so collecting these great vintage radios will go on Smile

enskanker - 2008-11-21 05:15

I'll take that dyslexic cuz anytime.

In fact all the stuff posted here is great, I'd love
'em all in my collection.
