Greetings my first post to Boomers! I have been collecting ernestly 2 months walkmans and fell upon this PJ-C7 in Germany. Since Akai only made two walkmans both top quality ( I have pristine PM-01) I felt a must have due to this detachable stereo play/record walkman. Am curious if anyone has seen or know of this unit? Is it really ultra rare?
I made a bid at 3 seconds left and lost by $1 OMG I was crushed, never thought it would go for $200.
Guess boomer collecting is OUT of my league compared to walkies. HERE IS many great pics on ebay. Sold 11-19-08

Thought you all might enjoy seeing this one in my world seeking online of walkmans. I would have bought this hot red boombox with RECORD PLAYER but the British Pound makes our $ buy way too little and shipping of heavy items well maybe next life when I live as Bill Gates. Let me know if this is rare and were they ever sold in USA ?

That's a nice little unit. Never saw one till now.

I have one of these boxes but unfortunately the walkman is not working.
I've had it for a while but i never did get around to fixing it! One day,maybe!
The radio is truly excellent though.

So it looks like have to keep eyes open for years to come. I take it then it was mostly a Euro release does anyone have such a thing in USA ?

I agree ,,, he thought once someone willing to pay nearly $200 USD then backed out he could get twice that..nutz. He has reposted two 30 day auctions and not even a bite. No wonder. Still listed. It was too high a price at 200. I got lucky one week after I lost that found just the walkman player recorder in Germany and got it for $30 Euro working. Since I collect walkmans was a perfect find. Funny it seems you look for a model for many months or years and when one comes up then 3 or 4 show up all within a month. Whats up with that?
