From an historical/design perspective, which was the manufacturer (and which model)to release the first portable radio with the deck/s and tuner above an array of two or more speakers?

Is this sony from 1978 the originator of the style?

H Leavingonestly has knowone got this box???? I spotted it on the left hand side on the radio hier front page about 4 up from my beloved M9998??Wont be getting it for a couple of weeks and desperately want some feedback.

SWEEEEEEEEEEET radio. I have 2 thats how much I like this Sony. Very unique with the cover that hides the buttons for the cassette. Congrats, u will like it.
