One of my favourite boxes

Yes somewhere in the deep deep parts in my heart I'm a boombox lover.
I admit it!
I love them.
They are so cool.
I remember having to go to summer school one year in grade 9 i think seeing the JVC RC-M70C on a guys shoulder and it looked and sounded great. I remember going to the local stereo shop and checking it out. As far as I remember it was 599 or 699. I think ...
Remember that's Canadian money...hehe.

One of my rich friends bought the other JVC the one that was like a home stereo. I don't know the model but it is also a very nice unit in my opinion.

I would love to get a M70... one day.
I guess I need to get rid of some of my other passion "Car Audio Amplifiers".

So now I come by this auction on Ebay. Holy Crap it's an M70 yet the price in my mind is CRAZY.. Tell me that i'm wrong. Is this box worth that much?
Please educate me boombox gurus.!

Hi Cutra. I don't own one of these yet, but have regularly seen them around the $300-$500 range on the bay. This one is in great condition. Still a little too much for me. I'm sure it's a fantastic sounding box. I don't recognize the seller. Oh, welcome to S2G Smile

hi and welcome cutra, that seems a lot of dollar imho, but then i like to buy cheap, norm with deck probs, thats half the fun fixing them but thats all part of the addiction to, i paid £100 GBP for my m70 but im patient and wait for one at the right price.

This price is way off ebay market trend for the last 2 months - c. 11 boxes, average c. $330

Patience will net you a deal. Smile

Thanks guys for the welcome and I'm happy to be a part of a very cool forum and part of your cool team/family.
I'm going to dig up some pictures of me in my teen's with my original boombox my candle and post them.

I wonder if anyone has one like mine.

Cutra

Well I dug up a picture of me and my boombox.
Please focus on the box not me...
hehe.
It was made by Candle, two tape decks.
The top one was a walkman also it slid up to remove and damn it was loud.!!!
I went to the garage and got the model number...
JTR-1330

I remember paying 349.99 for it and that was quite a bit of money for me and my dad at the time.
Anyway I will take a picture of it in it's current state soon.
Ahh cropped myself out.
It was a sad pic...

Hey I used to be into the Car Audio scene a while back.
I have a Kenwood KAC-PS501F in my car right now & I love it:

Reckon it's any good?
