Too new at the thrift

nosync - 2008-06-16 10:25

Stopped by my favorite thrift Saturday and on my way in saw a silver box tucked in between a microwave and a suitcase in a shopping cart. After a little peek and shuffle, it was a GE Blockbuster! Not perfect shape but worth the few bucks it'll go for. Problem is that it was just received and not priced yet. They won't sell anything not priced and they won't price it til Tuesday. Geez, now I gotta convince the wife to make a Tuesday morning run in the hopes that it will be there. Roll Eyes

I hope it will be there for you. Just a bit of freindly advise from someone who knows. If you see a box or walkman you like GRAB it!!!! You could turn your back and come back later and it will be gone. Its happened to me several times, now I don't take any chances. Even if its not a box I'm really into,I know there is someone here on this site or on Ebay that might want it. Nod Yes Big Grin

Good luck, I hope you get it. Nod Yes

Seems kind of crappy that they won't sell it to you now. What would it take to price it, 15 seconds?

A lot of thrift stores are like that; no one wants to make a decision and price it. I mean really, they paid nothing for it anyway.

A Blockbuster is the workhorse of my collection. It's a perfect size with good bass and highs in the old school tradition. The line-in is very nice also.I hope you get it.It will see a lot of use!
