it works shockingly good.

the psp i am using to get internet radio works so good. in fact so good i am thinking of getting another so i can have them in more than one room. you need a wifi connection but the cool thing is you can listen to shoutcast stations from anywhere in the house off this tiny little gaming system. you know what.. the sound quality is excellent i mean really really good.
yes you could use your computer but i can actualy take the psp outside and listen out there and have my pick from thousands of stations.
free is nice too all the shoutcast stations are free.yep theres other technology that can do this but for bang for the buck its pretty darn cool.

Oh yes, I was really amazed by the clarity of the psp audio through the headphone out in a blaster's line in. Really astounding.

Bill, maybe it'd be worth looking around at the psp accessory ranges online as theres oodles of cradles and holders out for it that are designed to mount it somewhere to watch movie on (like dvd player screen in cars). Chances are good you could find one with clips that could be used, or modded to use, on the back or top of a blaster so it's nicely secured for portability. Most retailers of psp games/systems online should have a pretty robust accessroy section, they're usual cheap as well.

Flashbackradio.com is my favourite online station.. have it running at work and at home, but theres a craptonne of great stations on the psp I've never listened to for more than a couple of minutes, I might have a hunt around this weekend.

Rock On.

that is a fantastic suggestion.
i mean no matter what kind of music your into you can find hours of good sometimes extremely obscure content with that little puppy.
i really am impressed with how good it sounds as a mp3 player as well. i mean side by side to the ipod it sounds much richer. i dont really know why but it does.

All it says it does is play games and movies. How do you get internet on it? And if you can get internet on it, why didn't they go all the way and make it a phone?

I'm a internetradio addict too. FM is a thing of the past or not completely.
I have connected the line out from the internetradio to the FM transmitter.
My favourite stations are 1.FM 80's euro , 977 the 80's , nostalgie soulparty.....

billpc55 - 2008-11-01 11:07

i still like dxing the fm with a big ugly slinky antenna i made using two slinkys a alligator clip and some wire. i was shocked how well it worked.
i was able to pick up more fm stations than i could have ever imagined. i was getting stations from idaho mexico la and other us cities.
some of them came in really clear.
theres still magic in using a radio.
i will admit tho internet radio is amazing for content. so much and the quality is so good.
also if your boombox has a good tape deck its excellent for making tapes as there is no commercials most of the time.
