geoffhartwell - 2008-02-04 13:31

dam, i was watching a SANYO M9998L on ebay, was giong to bid on it in last minute but missed end of auction, dont you hate that when that happens, and it only sold for £31. still a s2g member won it, so least its gone to a good home.

Geoff I can't count the number of times I've done that. A few times I really wanted to take myself outside and kick the crap out of me for forgetting.

At least you can console yourself that it would have gone for more than £31, who knows what the other person's maximum bid was. At least that's what I think when it happens to me Wink

That has happened to me soooo many times! I don't think ebay realizes how much $$$ they are loosing when we have to sign in 10 times a day and especially when we are trying to get those last minute bids in Mad Frown

I've slept through closing times (sometimes accidently in my recliner), forgotten about them, been stuck in traffic, reversed closing time numbers in my notes (causing me to bid too late), been distracted by TV shows (Jeopardy most often), had to answer the front doorbell, had the computer freeze up, had the electricity go off, been cut off by my dial-up service, had the cable connection go out with my broadband service, entered the wrong eBay item # without giving myself enough time to re-enter it, done the same with my eBay password, miscalculated how much time it would take for my computer to send my bid, been told by eBay to "rethink" my bid when it exceeded the Paypal guarantee amount
(leaving no time to re-enter a bid), and even been in the middle of a "bathroom emergency" at the very moment it was time to enter my bid. I've done it all!

And so, welcome to the Missed Bid Club. Glad to hear I'm not the only member!

recently I totally simply forgot to bid on this below , sigh , as I waited and waited and waited to the last day and then fell asleep and woke up and it was gone.... James
