Interesting....

bredgeo - 2008-02-05 08:34

Interesting, yes it is!

I like the way that my moving made me only pop in every so often (most of the time just to have a quick read on the eventual interesting repair needs or others...) and all these new members, new pseudonyms, that I see!!!!!! All of these others/new Boombox collectors!!!!!

Did most of these latest/new collectors (people interested in the old style Bboxes) get the bug from looking at ebay/pond shop, finding, seeing, bidding/buying a Boombox... for some odd reason, maybe the classical beautiful late 70s early 890s trim... and then by word to mouth, or a surf on the net, came across ST2G?????????

So many different stories as to why and how.......

By the way, new guys......... do leave me a few Bboxes to buy, bid on, or trade when I will be finacially back in the game!!!!!!!!! Big Grin

Thank you!

Nice to see you back, Bredgeo, even if only for a visit. Hope things are going well for you, and that you'll be back posting like before, one day soon.

Hey there man! Long time no read... Hope all is well on the Emerald Isle and you've settled in well.

Check out my thread in the tech section about some interesting developments on the M90 trim front!

All the best.

Smile

hi brian -- so nice to see you again !

bredgeo - 2008-02-05 21:35

Hey Ira! How ya doin'?

Did you go have a look at the M90 trim finish????? If you have not, GO have a look!!!!!!!

By the way..... I am still looking for a 880 but nothing in the horizon!!!!!

Did you get one yet or do I still look around, along with you?

redbenjoe - 2008-02-06 04:44

yup --keep looking

actually , i could use 1/2 dozen 880s now, because our highly respected UK member royal has recently proclaimed it to sound better than our M90s--

so if you get me a bunch of them for $400 --i can re-sell them for $800 to all these believer members ---
who dont know what we know -- that the 880 is no more than a real nice sounding M90 WANNABEE !

(dont tell anybody that - yet)

is it cold up there in ireland ??

Yeah! I read that too!

I have to admit, I was surprised... 880 equaling an M90........ Confused...... Okay, but I (sorry Royal) would need to hear it to believe it....... Big Grin Roll Eyes Leaving

For the coldness in Ireland..... I would have to say it is a little warmer here than it would be were we lived in France. I guess the Atlantic has something to do with it... Or simple overpopulation and the global warming, who knows. But it does rain!!!!!! Big Grin

redbenjoe - 2008-02-06 07:11

well- its looks like you lucked out -- because ireland seems closer to the north pole !

bredgeo - 2008-02-06 12:22

I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!! That is good for the bike!

redbenjoe - 2008-02-08 05:34

Hey glad to see you again Brian! Big Grin And Ira is right about the geography of the isle. Speaking of interesting, why is Greenland more frozen than Iceland? Confused Never thought much about it 'til we had an exercise combined with the Air Force in Greenland.

bredgeo - 2008-02-08 14:38

No Ira........ He is a good 70 Ks away, and we have not taken time to call him yet....
